Winter sets the scene - an infinite, clear blue sky and the diaphanous silhouette of an ascending moon. Flocks of alpine choughs circle in a regular rhythm. Snow spreads beneath an alpine horizon, crossed by footsteps and traces of passage. In the blurry distance, thin stripes of dry, pale grass blend with sculpturally arranged dark green mountain firs, mighty larches, and stone pines, which bind the soil together protectively. A variety of characters appear - standing, observing, walking - all reimagined as a homage to the almost surreal panorama.

“For CAPÍTULO VIII, inspiration was drawn from the topography, villages, and characters of rural Switzerland, where Kevin is from and where we immersed ourselves in observing natural and cultural patterns,” says Tíscar Espadas Herrador. These continually revisited landscapes formed the collection’s material and color palette, as well as the construction of volumes and silhouettes.
